Job Summary

Our client is recruiting to fill the role of an Industrial Gas Plant Manager.

The Industrial Gas Plant Manager oversees all operations at the industrial gas plant, including production, maintenance, safety, and staff management.

This role ensures optimal efficiency, quality control, regulatory compliance, and adherence to safety standards while meeting production and profitability goals.

Key Responsibilities

Operational Management:

Oversee daily operations and ensure smooth, uninterrupted production processes.

Monitor and optimize production metrics to meet established goals in efficiency, output, and cost-effectiveness.

Develop and implement standard operating procedures (SOPs) to enhance productivity and compliance.

Maintenance and Equipment:

Coordinate and manage preventative maintenance programs to ensure plant equipment is in excellent working condition.

Schedule and oversee repairs or replacements, minimizing downtime and maximizing asset longevity.

Health, Safety, and Environmental Compliance:

Ensure full compliance with environmental, health, and safety regulations, fostering a safe workplace.

Conduct regular safety audits, risk assessments, and incident investigations, and implement corrective actions as needed.

Staff Management:

Recruit, train, and supervise plant personnel, ensuring high performance and morale.

Lead, coach, and motivate the team, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and accountability.

Inventory and Supply Chain Management:

Oversee the inventory of raw materials and finished products, maintaining optimal stock levels to prevent delays.

Coordinate with suppliers and logistics teams to ensure timely procurement and delivery of materials.

Quality Assurance:

Implement and monitor quality control measures, ensuring products meet company and industry standards.

Address quality issues promptly, initiating process improvements where necessary.

Financial Management:

Develop and manage the plant’s budget, controlling costs and maximizing profitability.

Prepare financial reports, production summaries, and other performance metrics for executive review.

Continuous Improvement:

Identify and implement process improvements, focusing on increasing productivity, reducing waste, and enhancing product quality.
