A distinguished restaurant situated in Ikoyi, is seeking a dynamic and experienced individual to join their team in the dual role of Operations Supervisor.
Key Responsibilities:
Restaurants and Kitchen Operations:
- Team Leadership:
- Lead and inspire a diverse team of kitchen and service staff, fostering a positive and collaborative work culture.
- Oversee training programs to ensure staff members are well-versed in operational procedures and customer service standards.
Operational Efficiency:
- Streamline restaurant operations to enhance efficiency and customer satisfaction.
- Collaborate with chefs, cooks, and front-of-house staff to optimize workflow and maintain high-quality service.
Health and Safety Compliance:
- Ensure strict adherence to health and safety standards across all operational areas.
- Conduct regular inspections to identify and address potential hazards or areas for improvement.
Menu Planning and Development:
- Collaborate with chefs and culinary staff in planning and developing the restaurant's menu.
- Monitor customer feedback to make informed decisions on menu adjustments and improvements.
Vendor Relationships:
- Manage relationships with suppliers and vendors to ensure timely and cost-effective procurement of high-quality ingredients and supplies.
- Negotiate terms, prices, and contracts with suppliers to optimize procurement processes.
Inventory Control:
- Implement effective inventory control measures to minimize waste and optimize stock levels.
- Conduct regular audits and coordinate with kitchen staff to monitor ingredient usage and demand.
Cost Management:
- Develop and manage budgets for restaurant and kitchen operations.
- Identify opportunities for cost savings without compromising quality.
Quality Assurance:
- Implement and maintain quality assurance standards for all procured items.
- Conduct regular quality checks on ingredients and supplies to ensure compliance with the restaurant's standards.
Sustainability Initiatives:
- Integrate sustainability practices into procurement processes, including sourcing locally and reducing environmental impact.
- Stay informed on sustainable practices within the food and beverage industry.
Qualifications and Requirements:
- Proven 4 to 6 years of experience in restaurant and kitchen operations management.
- Demonstrated success in procurement and vendor management.
- Strong leadership and team management skills.
- Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities.
- Knowledge of health and safety regulations in a restaurant setting.
Must live in Ikoyi or Lekki or environs, Lagos.
